Reptiles as Familiars

I'm in a tough spot. I'm getting an iguana and I love reptiles. However, when a fellow satanist found out he flipped his lid. He says that all reptiles are descendants of the Inuaki and are dangerous. I mean, it's an iguana. I read up on these Inuaki and they sound like some shady characters. As a Theistic Satanist it's part of my belief system and I've never doubted it yet but he's suspicious of all reptiles. I mean, it's just an iguana. They're not like monitors. I'll get a monitor later in life but what's wrong with having a lizard dog pretty much? What do you guys think?

I had an iguana for a few years a while back, nice guy. I'm sure it doesn't really matter too much, it's just an iguana.

That's what I was saying. It's just a cute little iguana. He's not a humanoid reptilian kind of monstrosity that wants to wipe out the human race. He just wants to eat his carrots and be an iguana.
